David Koma was born in Georgia and in 1996 he moved to Saint Petersburg where he studied at the St Petersburg State Academy of Arts and Industry for a BA Fashion Design. He moved to London in 2003. David graduated in 2009 with a distinction MA Fashion degree from Central Saint Martins college of art. Even though each collection has had it's own themes the 2011 Autumn/Winter collection has a theme of polka-dots, this has come form a Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. David's interpretation has brought the Japanese to combine with his unique style to result in a collection that is neither Japanese or European. He always works to achieve flattering, feminine designs and all he works on has definite individuality all his own.
